DAW

For making music or sound and work for post-production all kind of working for sound we need DAWs. The name of DAW meaning is Digital Audio Workstation. Nowadays, all of the professional musicians and sound engineers using DAW with computer built high quality sound card or out board. In the sound industry there are many DAWs simply classified by free or paid.

First of all, I can say Audacity is the best free DAW now. The main scree design is very simple so that anyone can find options easily. Even it support multi track recording and edit also it carry removing noise, stretching time, correcting pitch etc. I am using mainly protools but sometime when I need to simple edit or recording such as two track recording or editing I use it easily. Second, I will explain about PreSonus Studio one 3 Prime. Basically PreSonus Studio one series are paid. Most of people do not know PreSonus made free version. However, it is free with limited such as it cannot import mp3 files, but it will fully work for beginners. When you try to find other free DAW on internet you will get many other DAWs and get all details. Now I am only post about two most famous free DAWs, If any one want to know more DAWs simply you can search for free DAW and you can find what you want.

Now I am going to post about paid DAWs. Also there are many paid DAWs in the sound industry. I think at least more then twenty DAWs are out there. Now I am going to explain about the most popular DAWs. First, Protools the most popular DAW in the world. I am also mainly using ProTools. Before Protools 9 people have to buy it with Avid interface, but after Protools 9 we can use any interface with it. From long time ago it became standard of recording sound. From recording to mastering you can do any work through it with best quality and already built in all of the functions what do you need. It has great feature of effects, plug-inns. The company name of Avid sell it diversity option. Therefore, in anyone want to buy it check first what version is good for you.

Second, Apple Logic also becoming very famous DAW now. It also had all function what people need for recording, mixing, mastering. It has simple and powerful feature specially, MIDI. When you purchase it you can download a lot of instrument for MIDI from different genre's drum to classical instrument. It has more simple function then protools even beginners can use is easily. However, it only support MAC computer and pay with download from appstore.

Third, Ableton Live 9 is good DAW for making music, specially it has very good features for electronic music and MIDI. simple interface deliver more detail view of what I am doing. It also can do recording, mixing and mastering. However, in my experience it better for electronic work. If anyone want to make electronic music or sound I surely suggest it.

In consequently, there are a lot of DAWs in sound industry. However, I post about most popular DAWs based on my experiences. I have not tried mane other DAWs yet. When I tried other DAWs I will post about it, but if any one want to buy DAWs, I would suggest Locig pro or Protools, because those two DAWs are the most people using now.
