Progress of Post-Production Work (LO10)

For my 5th semester in SAE I and my group members decided do post production project. We chose five minutes scene from movie title Sherlock Holmes in 1939. We were re-create all of the sound in the movie scene and also add BGM, because there is no BGM in the movie. From week 2 we started work progress with chose actor for ADR, material for SFX, and musician for BGM. Moreover, we try to find work progress for post-production in professional industry. There are many step for post-production. There are few steps of recording audio, dialogue(ADR), foley and FX, back ground music, re-recording, and mixing and mastering. Therefore, we found three actors, for young man, old man, and candle man. For young man, we tried to record Adil who is my class mate, but his voice to bright and soft, we need more strong voice, so we change to James. For old man we chose Mr. Khari how is our CIU class teacher and for candle man James Mohammed who attend animation student. We finished recording ADR first on week 6. For finish ADR I and my group members felt hard to communicate with actor, we were not enough to explain to bring out actor’s emotion. To solve our communication problem we met instructor Randy and Andy then we got some advice. Then we could finish ADR.
